As Ice Cube once said, "Today was a good day". Sunday was my first pop-up in a while, locally at least. I was posted up on Jefferson Blvd and the vibes were amazing. As I've always said, Lucky is a safe haven for the raza and those who appreciate the culture. Now, I'm not saying everyone liked my products, but putting myself out there was already a win whether if I made no sales or a couple. Owning a small business you will face many challenges just like in everyday life. First and foremost, you will face rejection. Remember it's all learning experience, homegirl. You should never take it personal. You can choose to kick rocks and mope about it OR see how you can approach the situation differently. It is all about perspective. It is time for you control your narrative. "Mija has the world in her hands and she is calling the shots!", is what helps me push through. It's important to check your support system, too. Peep game and see who is really there for you. You need people que te apoyan; to support you. Create an atmosphere for the person you want be. As my momma always said, "dime con quien te juntas y te digo quien eres". In the other words, we are reflection of the people we choose to be around. Your mindset is everything.
